ABOUT US:

This project started in 2003 as a few web pages and now consists of an official archive stored at the  Norfolk County Records Office in Norwich, a travelling exhibition and this ever growing website. The latter two being  solely funded by donations and the small profits from the  sale of reproduction posters and other items.

We are a loose collective who all work for free, so all donations, whether in the form of time, money, equipment or any other kind offers of help are all accepted and much appreciated.  In fact they're rather essential in order to keep this small enterprise afloat.

Our aim is to continue to gather as many artifacts, photos and memorabilia as are still out there in order to add  them, where appropriate, to the physical archive in Norwich, whilst offering via the website and exhibition, visual access to as many of those items as possible.

The exhibition and in time, the website will be expanded to include and illustrate a timeline that leads us to the present day.  For example current venues such as FolkEast and the Glastonbury Green Fields, both have roots in the East Anglian fairs, so it would be nice to complete the circle to show that some of that spirit is still alive and well..
